We Signed a Strategic Partnership with Arum Games for The Guardians

Share

We have signed a publishing and development agreement with South Korean game developer Arum Games for the mobile Action MMORPG The Guardians, covering Türkiye, Europe, and the MENA region.

The agreement was officially signed during Tokyo Game Show 2026, as part of the Korea Game Pavilion organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA).

Under this partnership, we will take responsibility for publishing The Guardians across Türkiye, Europe, and MENA. We will also lead the game’s localization, regional adaptation, live operations, marketing activities, and development work tailored to the needs of our target markets.

We Will Develop The Guardians for Our Region

We do not see this agreement as a traditional regional publishing deal.

Our goal is not simply to release The Guardians in new markets, but to adapt and develop the game in line with the expectations of players across our region.

We will handle the necessary technical, content, and operational improvements with our own teams.

Our initial focus will be on mobile platforms. Depending on the technical capabilities of the game, we will also evaluate additional platform opportunities and cross-platform options in the future.

We will bring our experience in player behavior, localization, payment systems, regional regulations, and live service operations across Türkiye, Europe, and MENA directly into the next phase of The Guardians.

The Agreement Was Signed at Tokyo Game Show

We formalized our partnership with Arum Games during Tokyo Game Show 2026, at an official event organized by KOCCA.

This agreement represents another step in the relationships we have been building with the South Korean game industry and is also an important part of our strategy to expand our international game portfolio.

As a company headquartered in İzmir, we continue to grow our game development and publishing operations across Türkiye, Europe, and MENA.

We Do More Than Just Publish Games

A core part of our approach at BYTE is to go beyond simply launching games in new markets.

We treat localization, technical adaptation, live operations, content planning, marketing, and product development as one integrated process.

The Guardians will be another example of this model.

BYTE CEO Emrah Özdemir commented on the agreement:

“We do not see our agreement with Arum Games for The Guardians simply as another title being added to our portfolio.

Rather than just publishing games in new regions, we prefer to develop them together with our technical and operational teams based on the needs of the target market.

For The Guardians, our first objective is to build a strong and sustainable mobile service. If the game’s technical infrastructure allows, we will also evaluate additional platform opportunities.

As a company headquartered in İzmir, we are building long-term partnerships with developers in Korea, signing agreements in Tokyo, and managing operations across Türkiye, Europe, and the Middle East. We will continue to expand both our game portfolio and our international partnerships.”

Arum Games CEO Byung Jong Kang also commented on the partnership:

“We are very pleased to work with BYTE, which has extensive service experience and a strong understanding of the Turkish, Middle Eastern, and European markets.

Through close cooperation between our two companies, we aim to provide local players with the best possible game experience and help The Guardians achieve strong results in the global market. We will continue to make every effort in both development and service preparation to achieve this goal.”

What’s Next for The Guardians

In the coming period, we will focus on localization, technical preparation, and publishing operations for The Guardians.

We will share further details regarding the service schedule, supported platforms, regional content, and the next phase of the game as development and preparation progress.
